Robert M

I have been at Oak Hollow since July, 2009 after having cellulitis and septic poisoning that attacked my nervous system.  Before coming to Oak I was at another facility and wasn’t happy.

The staff at Oak Hollow is excellent.  They are very conscientious.  Everyone goes above and beyond.  The therapy staff goes above and beyond to make sure I’m progressing in my rehab.  The nurses and aides are excellent.

Nursing and Medical Services

Our goal at Oak Hollow Nursing Center is to deliver care around the normal lives of our residents so they can have optimal quality of life and participate in facility functions and activities.  Residents and their families have shared that the staff at Oak Hollow has created a facility that satisfies them medically, physically and has enabled them to maintain their quality of life.

Our interdisciplinary care team works with residents and their families to develop individualized plans of care for each resident.  We specialize in caring for residents with clinically complex medical conditions that require 24 hour nursing services.  We provide IV therapy, TPN, and in-house peritoneal dialysis.  We admit respiratory patients with COPD, pneumonia, and tracheostomies to provide medical care and physical reconditioning.  Our staff respiratory therapist oversees the care of these residents.

Our wound care program boasts impressive healing rates.  Our wound team consists of our professionally recognized Certified Wound Care Nurse, physician, nurse practitioner and nurses, dietary and rehab staff.  Special adaptive equipment, preventative aides, wound vac, whirlpool therapy and intermittent compression equipment are used in wound care when appropriate.
